Cody Sipe, PhD is an award-winning fitness professional, exercise physiologist, professor and expert in functional aging. His 20 years in the health and fitness industry have earned him the recognition as a leader in innovative, evidence-based exercise programs for mature adults. He specializes in exercise to improve mobility, balance and functional abilities for people over the age of 50 and shares these innovative strategies and techniques with thousands of fitness professionals through his international presentations, publications and certifications.
Cody is the author of Never Grow Old!: The innovative, easy to follow functional aging fitness program that increases strength, improves balance and decreases pain. He is creator of the Never Grow Old Fitness Program; co-founder of the Functional Aging Institute; and co-owner of Miracles Fitness, a highly acclaimed small group and personal training facility for older adults.
Dr. Sipe earned his PhD in Health and Kinesiology at Purdue University and his Master’s Degree in Exercise Science at Virginia Tech. He has held certification as a Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist, Clinical Exercise Specialist, FallProof Balance and Mobility Enhancement Specialist and Master Trainer for the Canadian Center on Activity and Aging.
